These days it is also common practice for a bank to require a p-test on a property before a mortgage can be approved. In both situations you’ll require a Certified Tester to provide written evidence that the property in question is free of contamination.
Should contamination be discovered, the property will need to be extensively investigated and the samples analysed by an independent laboratory. Detailed evidence will be legally documented before any recommendations are made or remedial work is undertaken. Testing will be discreet and the results remain private and confidential, although we are required by law to notify the police on confirmation of a positive result.
